Hey Brides! Check out some of our Great Tips!(Wedding Planning Does Not Have to be so Hard if You Follow These Guidelines) 1. The Bride and Groom should never forget it is their day. They should be the ones to make all final decisions. 2. Use professional services when the end product does matter to the Bride and Groom. Professionals will usually do a better job than someone who handles weddings as a weekend business. 3. The earlier the Bride and Groom start planning the easier it will be. Most photographers, videographers, Florists, etc. get booked well in advance of the wedding day. 4. Friends and Family are often a very good source of advice and help. They may know a florist, a DJ, or may be connected to someone in the wedding industry who can help you out. Married friends and family can be especially helpful since they’ve probably been through the entire planning process before. 5. Ask Questions! If you don’t understand something – prices, technical questions, fine print in a contract – ask! 6. Read the contracts that you sign. 7. Never assume anything. If you’re unsure of anything, ask the vendor to clarify it for you. 8. Double check dates and times on contracts. 9. Be sure to proof read all announcements or invitations before and after they are printed. A misspelled name or incorrect date can happen anywhere in the printing process. 10. Remember the most expensive doesn't mean you get the best and the cheapest aren't always bad, although you often do get what you pay for. Price shouldn’t be the only factor in determining how good or bad someone is. 11. Ask for a sample of vendors’ previous work. Whether it’s a videographer, photographer, or decorator, they should have something to show you so you can see what they’ve done in the past and what they can do for you. |
