The National Association of Catering Executives is an organization of which I serve on the board. The most important piece of grass roots advertising is association membership and involvement. Pick associations that help your business and contain your possible customers.I’m heavily involved in 2 organizations.
The first is the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is set up to help promote the Corporate side of Kennetic Productions. The KP revenue stream is split 50/50 between Corporate Projects and Events.
The second is NACE. Why? The NACE members are usually not getting married, so they are not my direct customer, but, they are usually the first point of contact for brides. The catering executives book brides at their venues. Who does a bride talk to first? Either their dress boutique, or their venue. Hence, NACE membership puts me in front of Catering Executives who, if they like my work, recommend me to brides.
Anyway, here is a short video I put together at the board’s urging to taut our 50th anniversary celebration…enjoy! Keep in mind that I was able to use copyrighted music because the project was not for profit!
Taylor and Andy had a beautiful wedding at the Riverside Presbyterian Church followed by a great party at the University Club. It was a pleasure to work with Taylor and Andy…they are such a wonderful and easy-going couple. Andy’s sister was one of our first wedding clients a few years ago!I hope you like their trailer!
Check out the trailer for Lisa and Scott. They were married on a beautiful day at Old St. Andrew’s Church in Jacksonville, Florida with a rockin’ party at the River Club, Downtown. I hope you enjoy it!
I was thinking of what to write this Wednesday and realized I have a board meeting tomorrow for the South Council of the Chamber of Commerce and don’t talk much about it. The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce is divided into geographic councils. They are like mini-Chambers. There is the North Council, South Council, West Council, Downtown…etc. When Kennetic Productions first moved to Jacksonville, joining the Chamber and beginning regular attendance at the South Council was one of the first things we did. Boy has it payed off! Not only have I obtained many contracts from both members and member relationships, but I’ve also met a bunch of great friends. A Chamber Council is by far the most effective grass roots advertising to be done in Jacksonville. The cost is nominal and the benefits are unlimited. Tips: regular attendence and involvement. I probably have about a 95% attendance rate and have been on the board for 3 years now. I’ve served as Treasurer, Program Officer, Marketing Co-Chair and Secretary. This level of involvement garners me exposure and I also become sought out by new members for advice. So…join the Chamber!!! It is worth it!
Kennetic Productions has just settled into our new office! Moving in at the end of June, we are all settled into our new digs w/ Elyk Innovation, Inc. Elyk Innovation is one of the top web development firms in Jacksonville, and KP provides all their internet video. It was a logical choice to share an office to increase the efficiency of our working relationship.Oh, and they have a ping pong table which rules. Kennetic is working on a BUNCH of projects right now including training for the NAVY, promotional video for Brooks Rehabilitation and a handful of weddings. Check back next Wednesday for more updates!
What you see below is the final version of the Carpet N’ Drapes project. A few entries ago it was posted as a rough cut with me as the talent. Now, we have inserted professional talent. I hope you like it! Check out Carpet N’ Drapes‘ web site to see how Kennetic Productions and Elyk Innovation worked together to create a great website with some nice video content. We are the exclusive provider of internet video for Elyk Innovation and also share an office!
It was a pleasure shooting this video for Melissa and Drew on their special day. They got ready at the beautiful PGA Tour Spa Laterra and then traveled just a couple minutes down the road to the amazing backdrop of the The Palencia Club which is just an wonderful place to shoot a wedding. I hope you like it!
We were honored to be a part of Tara and Jason’s big day. The whole thing took place at the TPC Sawgrass and was absolutely beautiful. They were married outside overlooking hole 18, took pictures on the island green at 17 and had a reception in a huge ballroom where Darrin of DeLand Entertainment rocked the house. Enjoy the video!
New rule for KP blogging! Every Wednesday, new blog. I have some great projects saved up to be posted, and can’t wait for you to see them! I’ve been quite busy over the last couple of months and will tell you all about it. Keep checking in…
