The National Association of Catering Executives is an organization of which I serve on the board. The most important piece of grass roots advertising is association membership and involvement. Pick associations that help your business and contain your possible customers.I’m heavily involved in 2 organizations.
The first is the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is set up to help promote the Corporate side of Kennetic Productions. The KP revenue stream is split 50/50 between Corporate Projects and Events.
The second is NACE. Why? The NACE members are usually not getting married, so they are not my direct customer, but, they are usually the first point of contact for brides. The catering executives book brides at their venues. Who does a bride talk to first? Either their dress boutique, or their venue. Hence, NACE membership puts me in front of Catering Executives who, if they like my work, recommend me to brides.
Anyway, here is a short video I put together at the board’s urging to taut our 50th anniversary celebration…enjoy! Keep in mind that I was able to use copyrighted music because the project was not for profit!
I’m writing this as I get ready to attend the NACE board meeting for the month of February. NACE stands for the National Association of Catering Executives and is a great way for me to market KP wedding videos.
Catering Executives are the contact for a bride when trying to book the location of their special day. If you want to book your wedding, say, at the Casa Monica in Saint Augustine, you need to speak to their Catering Manager.
These Catering Executives usually have a preferred vendor list they will hand to the bride after they book. It is, like it sounds, a list of the vendors (photographers, djs, bands, florists and VIDEOGRAPHERS) they recommend. Being on a list like this is gold.
One of the main thrusts of the Kennetic Productions Wedding Video marketing campaign is placement on as many of these lists as possible. That, along with the good friends and fun, is why I belong to NACE. It allows Kennetic Productions to get in front of some of the most important people in the industry.
So…I’m off!
